Glory joined the MSSPA herd in July of 2023. When she arrived, she was in desperate need of the farrier. However, at eight years old, she had never been asked to do anything like that, so it was challenging for her. Glory requires an experienced handler who can help her move past her guardedness. She is a very sweet mare once she can trust you. Glory is very green but is super willing and eager to please. She is overall an easy keeper but does require sedation for the farrier. With work and consistent handling, she could overcome that. Glory lives outside 24/7 but has been stalled for vet/farrier visits. As she hadn’t been separated from her dam until arriving at the farm, she tends to become herd bound to her pasture mates. Glory has been turned out with other mares and seems to do well. If you are an experienced horse person looking for your own horse to bring along and grow with, she may be your girl!
